Heritage Healthcare

Our Training

Heritage Healthcare places great emphasis on the continued training and development of its management and staff. The company is committed to investing significant resources, including time and money, in this area.

We have an in-house training team, headed by our own Training Manager. Together the team has many years training and care industry experience.

All of our Carers are required to have or be working towards a QCF Diploma in Social Care. This qualification aims to deliver the level of knowledge and performance required of Carers to professionally fulfil their roles.

In addition, all our staff receive extensive induction training before they are able to work with our Service Users. This training covers such areas as first aid, dealing with emergencies, manual handling, infection control, food hygiene, security, assessing risks, prompting of medication and more.

In addition to the above, we can also provide extensive training to external customers within the care sector.

Health and Safety

The purpose of our Home Care Service is to provide effective, efficient and specialist personal care and support to vulnerable individuals within their own homes and within the community.

The service is compliant with the regulations of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, and the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009.  These regulations describe the fundamental standards that people who use health and adult social care services have a right to expect.

“Training is the key to development and quality”

Glenn Pickersgill, Heritage Healthcare CEO
